I cannot believe that it has been a year since Bridgette came into my life. It has been one awesome year! Watching her grow and change has been amazing. I didn't know what motherhood would be like but it is much better than I ever imagined! Bridgette, life would not be the same without you!
This is going to be my last monthly update so I will try and make sure I hit all the milestones that she has made. For here forward I will blog the big important and fun things. She weighs 20 lbs 10 ounces and is 29 1/2 inches long. This month Bridgette has come close to walking. She has taken a few steps but does not like to fall down. She is very cautious and will fall to her knees whenever she feels unsteady. She still crawls quickly and likes walking when she has something to put her hand on. She loves to play and can make the biggest mess. She wants to eat anything and everything that Patrick and I are eating. She drinks from a straw and is weaned from the bottle! She just started drinking milk but isn't sure about it. Sometimes she downs it and other times she doesn't want it.
She loves to talk! Pretty soon she might be able to out talk her mom! She points at everything and will make a sound, usually a b sound. She could care less about baby sign but communicates what she wants by pointing. Here is a list of all her words: mama, dada, pepe, papa (Puma), baby, ba (bottle), bye bye, night night, boo, boom, book, ball, no no and num num. When she isn't saying real words she is always babbling!
Her first birthday party was a hoot! She has a lot of family and friends come celebrate with her. She had fun playing with all the kids, enjoyed her birthday cake and loved opening her presents. She wasn't sure what to do with the cake, she didn't really like the icing on her fingers. Once I started feeding it to her with a fork she loved it!
Welcome to our blog! Bridgette was born on my due date, January 17, 2011. We are truely blessed!

B's Frist Christmas
We had a wonderful first Christmas with Bridgette. She had so much fun spending time with family. It took her a few presents to figure it out all out but in the end she was a pro at opening gifts. She loves playing with her new toys! Santa brought her a 3-in-1 trike and she loves to go for rides on it. She also had a cold that turned into an ear infection during the break so unfortunately she spent part of her break being sick. On a good note she now has 8 teeth! Two more popped through on the bottom Christmas weekend.
