Bottle Caps Are Fun Toys

Bridgette just started scooting. Today she scooted the most and farthest ever!! It was so much fun watching her problem solve and try to move her body as much as she could. Who would have ever thought that she would care so much about playing with a cap to her bottle? Why do we buy toys? Soon she will be crawling all over the place!

Pictures finally!!

Here are the 7 month pictures. We were not as successful as last month but we got a few good ones. Maybe next month will be better =)

7 months old

I am late on this update due to the return of the school year. Bridgette turned 7 months last week. I still have yet to take 7 month pictures due to her being exhausted in the evenings from daycare and from her first stomach bug she had over the weekend. Pictures will be posted soon!

This month Bridgette got 2 teeth!! The came in within 4 days of each other. She can also roll over both ways like a champ. She is an eating fool! She loves solids. She is completely weaned and has finally enjoying her formula. She doesn't drink as many ounces of formula as she did breast milk but she seems to be happy. She also loves playing on her belly. She has learned to turn herself in circles using her hands. She has been sleeping 11-12 hours at night and it was been wonderful!

B got her first UTI this month and it was awful! I spent the last week of my summer vacation taking her to doctor appointments trying to figure out what was wrong. She had a really high fever with no symptoms. The doctor did a urine test and it came back positive. Then they had to do a catheter sample which also came back positive. Then we were sent for a sonogram and a kidney test. Little did I know this required another catheter. Poor baby! I am glad it is over and hope it never happens again.

B is adjusting to daycare. This first few days she cried all day =( By Thursday she was having happy moments. This week she has been happy but is still not sleeping like she normally does. I'm sure in a few weeks she will be fully adjusted and loving every moment.

Keith and Ryann's Wedding

Keith and Ryann got married on July 30th. There were a lot of festivities leading up to the big day that kept us really busy. First we went to San Antonio so Patrick could go to the bachelor party. Bridgette and I spent the weekend with my parents. We had a fun weekend but Thursday and Friday were a little stressful. B was still on the down slope of the dairy effects and was still a little fussy. My mom and I went to play bunco at her church and B went to the nursery. All was fine and dandy until the nice nursery worker came and got me because they couldn't calm little B. Anyone shocked? I wasn't! Poor baby was so tired and wouldn't take the bottle. The rest of the weekend she was happier and playful and started sleeping through the night again. She did great on the car ride there and back, she basically slept the whole way! Patrick and I were both proud of her!

The next weekend was the big weekend. Friday morning I dropped B off at Liz's so that I could go to the bridal luncheon. The food was wonderful and the luncheon was fun. B and I headed home for a nap before heading to the rehearsal dinner. We had a great time at the rehearsal dinner! It was great spending time with some old college friends. When we arrived home my Uncle Bob and cousin Savannah were at my house anxious to see us and tired from their long trip.

The next day was the big wedding day. We dropped B off at Grandma's and headed to the wedding. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was fun! I got to see old friends from high school and college. Most of my mom's side of the family came in town for the wedding and it was great to see everyone and catch up. After the wedding all of the family came to our house for food and swimming. We had a great time! I really wish we could see all of them more often, we always have a good time!

We then spent the next several days with Uncle Bob and Savannah. We went out to eat several times and toured the Dallas Cowboy Stadium while they were here. We hope they enjoyed the stay as much as we did!
